Luciana Simion is a scholar, licensed California attorney, and interdisciplinary educator whose work bridges organizational justice, ethics, and law. She is completing her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), where her dissertation examines how organizations use AI-mediated emotional labor to convey fairness and moral legitimacy in high-stakes service contexts. Her broader research spans service management, emotional governance, ethics, and cross-cultural leadership. Her work appears in peer-reviewed outlets, and she is a frequent speaker at leading global conferences, including the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Annual Conference, International Leadership Association (ILA) Global Conference, Western Psychological Association (WPA)’s Annual Conventions, Western Academy of Management (WAM) Conference, and the Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Leadership Symposium (IPLS).
Luciana teaches a wide range of topics, including management, organizational behavior, marketing, business ethics, and business law. She supports graduate education by guest lecturing, leading professional development sessions, and mentoring students, helping them bridge theory with practice and prepare for careers in management, law, and academia. She also manages CGU’s Justice and Organizational Behavior Lab (JOB Lab) under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Gilliland, a pioneering scholar whose decades-long leadership in organizational justice continues to shape the field and inspire ethical practice.
Luciana’s scholarly and service contributions have been recognized through honors such as CGU’s Crossing Boundaries Award, the Maldonado Executive Leadership Institute (MELI) Graduate Fellowship, and the Jenness Hannigan Fellowship. She advises organizations in the U.S. and Europe including Microsoft, ViaSat Inc., Microwave Broadcast Systems, and the University of California, Irvine. Her consulting spans innovation adoption strategies, strategic alignment, leadership development, market analysis, and global well-being initiatives.
